Phased Array Monostatic Radar

The aim of this project was to design a PC-based Monostatic Pulse Radar which employs the same phased array at both the radar's Tx and Rx for detecting, localising and estimating various parameters of multiple complex targets.

The model consists of 45 antennae, each of which transmits a unique signal, dependent on the direction the radar system wishes to point at (system is electronically steerable). Backscattering events were modelled based off of previously given parameters.

From this information, the distance, azimuth and radar cross section were estimated for multiple targets.

​

System would theoretically work with Software Defined Radio.
